Capsule 002
Celine Enersen
WHERE ARE YOU FROM, AND WHERE ARE YOU LIVING NOW?
I'm from north of Copenhagen but I've been living in Paris for the past 3 years.
What do you do in Paris?
I came to Paris to study Fashion Management at ESMOD, where I'm now finishing my bachelor and then I'm working on the side.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
My cliché approach at the moment is that the future is now, which is not an excuse to do nothing, but to give myself space to work towards the areas I think, from my experience, matters in the fashion industry and where I can contribute the upmost best.
How did you get into fashion?
Fashion is many things that people forget (even in the industry itself) - it's culture. I've always been drawn to the aesthetics of what the industry creatively can produce, but also very much to everything it's built upon as a whole. This is also why I currently work with trend forecasting which very much more about how society and people interrelate and what happens in fashion as a result, than just looking at what people are wearing.
Why did you pick these items?
I love Japanese designers such as Issey Miyake and Rei Kawakubo - they achieve to be bold and understated at the same time, approaching design intellectually and non-commercial.
